Michelle "Sonnie" Day was born and raised in Detroit, Michigan. She graduated from Mumford High School in Detroit, where she furthered her education in mortuary science, organizational development, management, and currently working on her Doctorate Degree in Educational Leadership. Working throughout several years in various schools in the Metropolitan Detroit area, birthed her passion for youth and education. In 1999, the vision was given for RubyGirl, it wasn't until 2005 when God gave rebirth and confirmed the vision,and RubyGirl was launched. Michelle is known to many in the music industry as Sonnie Day where she has won several music awards, released 3 albums and shared the stage with popular artist. She is a Coordinator, Author, Speaker, Singer, Songwriter, Consultant, Life Coach, Wife & Mother are just some hats she wears. Michelle serves on the Board of Directors of Incarcerated Youth Ministry and 6Mile/Meyers Org. She is a Committee Member for the Michigan Female Responsive Task Force with the Bureau of Juvenile Justice. Michelle is available to facilitate workshops, be a guest speaker, panelist and host events.
Charleston Day was born and raised in Pontiac, Michigan where he graduated from Pontiac Central High School. He furthered his education by studying music and theology at St. Mary's. Mr. Day worked for many years in the Pontiac School District serving as a Head Football Coach, Dean of Students, and Site Director for a School-wide After-School Program called "Project Synergy". Mr. Day has received several awards from organizations and the City of Pontiac & Detroit for his outstanding work with youth. Charleston's musical background has allowed him to organize college choirs, win awards, and travel. Mr. Day serves as the Football Defensive Coordinator & High School Administrator for Westside Christian Academy in Detroit. Westside won the National State Championship in 2010 in their division. Charleston mentors several young men in and outside the State. He serves on the Board of Directors for Incarcerated Youth Ministries, Project-U-Turn, and works as Dean of Discipline at Westside. He is the founding member of a national recording group, "The Gideon Crew" who has been seen via television in over 8 countries. Mr. Day is available as a guest speaker, workshop presenter, panels, and events.
